HOW TO TRAVEL ON THE ISLAND

CAR

Renting a car is for sure the best way to explore the island. It's very easy to drive on the streets of Koh Samui. There is no heavy traffic at all. Check our vehicle page for more information.

SCOOTER

Scooter are often used in Thailand but we would suggest renting a car as this is a safer option and is a more comfortable mode of transport. Check our vehicle page for mor information.

GRAB

Grab allows you to book transport around Koh Samui island using their Grab mobile app. The app is available on both Google Play and Apple App Store.

TAXI

The taxis of Koh Samui are yellow and maroon. Drivers will often negotiate a fixed price with you. There are also motorbike taxis and they can be found by looking for the riders in brightly-coloured vests.

SONGTHAEW

The cheapest method of getting around on Koh Samui is on a songthaew. Prices are very low. You can just jump aboard and pay 20 baht per person when you jump off.
